    Central United Methodist Church

    		Central United Methodist Church is considered one of the finest Romanesque churches in the lower peninsula of Michigan. This church is one of the few art pieces designed by Elijah E. Myers, architect of the State Capitol. Built in 1889, the church is made of dark red Ionia (Michigan) sandstone with a trim of red oak.
